土曜日の朝8 時30 分から10 時迄行われた予選では、両車共クリアラップを中々取れず、苦労を強いられる。
タイムアップを果たすもののSP8クラスのライバルチームも戦闘力を上げてきており予選結果は#135  9 分14 秒924 で総合58 位、#136 9 分22 秒127 で総合71 位。

Entering the VLN week, the weather was unstable. It is classic Nürburgring weather that makes for dry to half wet tyre conditions, as the curtain opens for the fourth VLN challenge. During the qualifying from Saturday 8:30 to 10:00AM both cars were having trouble finding a clear lap. The rival teams of the SP8 class were increasing their efforts as ever. The results of the time lap were as follows. #135 with 9”14’924 leading to overall qualifying rank 58. #136 with 9”22’127 leading to overall qualifying rank 71.

予定通り正午に決勝がスタート。序盤、両車共に50 位前後をキープする順調な出だしを見せる。KlausVölker 選手、Horst Baumann 選手の両者が乗るCCS-R は、非常に安定した走りを見せ、ジリジリと順位を上げていく。
しかし、レース4 周目辺りから時折雨がパラつき始め、その影響からかクラッシュによるイエローフラッグが多くなってきた。
ピットでも、第1 スティント終了ギリギリ迄スリックとレインタイヤ両方を考慮した準備を進めるが、ニュルブルクリンクを熟知したチームは、スリックタイヤ続行の決断と共に、ピットに両車を迎え入れる。
第2 スティントは135 号車にJordan Tresson 選手、136 号車にHelmut Baumann 選手が搭乗。コンディションが徐々に厳しくなっていく中、CCS-R は中盤第2 スティントでも安定した走りを続ける。特に今レースがVLN デビュー戦となるTresson 選手は、デビューとは思えない素晴らしい走りを見せ、イエローフラッグのみならず、ダブルイエローも毎周発生する過酷な条件下で、順位を着実に上げていく。
第2 スティントを終えようとしていた所、レースは急変する。ピットは第3 スティントの準備に追われていたが、突如レースは赤旗中断となり、車両をパルクフェルメに移動するよう、レース本部より指示が出る。時刻は14 時40 分、通常であれば再開の可能性もある時間だったが、この措置はレース終了を意味していた。
レース本部からの発表によると、Opel Astra で参戦していたWolf Silvester 選手が、心臓発作によりマシンをコントロール出来ずにコースアウト、レスキュー隊による懸命の蘇生措置が行われたが、搬送中に死亡が確認された。死因はクラッシュによるものではないものの、主催者側の迅速な判断は的確なものでした。
Wolf Silvester 選手のご逝去を悼み、ご遺族ならびに関係者の皆様に謹んでお悔やみ申し上げます。
2 台のCCS-R は今回、非常に安定した走りを見せ、そのポテンシャル、パフォーマンスの高さを証明出来た。このまま順調に経験を積み、ポイントを積み重ね続けて行く事が出来たら素晴らしいシーズンとなるであろう。最終順位は、#135が総合30 位/SP8 クラス3 位、#136 は総合45 位/SP8 クラス6 位。

The race started as planned. First the cars strived to keep a rank around 50th. The CCS-R drivers Klaus Völker and Horst Baumann both show a steady race and manage to climb the ranks slowly but surely. However, from the fourth lap onwards rain started to fall intermittently. This led to crashes and yellow flags.
In the pit, considering until the end of the first stint, both slick and wet tyres were prepared. The team, knowing the Nürburgring well, decided to continue with slick tyres as it called the cars in.
The second stint was fought by Jordan Tresson in the #135 and Helmut Baumann in the #136. Despite conditions growing constantly worse during the middle of the race, the CCS-R continued to race steadily. Especially Tresson, who raced the VLN for the first time, showed a performance unlike a debut and continuously climbed the ranks despite yellow and double yellow flags being shown each lap.
During the second stint the race suddenly changed. Race control called the red flag, just when the preparations for the third stind in the pit had been completed. The cars retired to the parc fermé. At 2:40PM the race was declared finished.
Race control announced that driver Wolf Silvester, who was racing in the Opel Astra, had experienced a cardiac episode and had lost control over his machine. He subsequently ran off the circuit. The rescue team initiated life saving actions, however during transportation death was confirmed. Death resulted not from the crash, but due to other medical reasons and the race organization decided clearly and rightly to end the race.
As we mourne the passing of Wolf Silvester, we would like to send our condolences to his family and team members.
Both CCS-Rs showed a steady race this time. Their potential and high end performance capability was proven. If we continue to gain such experience and success, we will accumulate points and can aim for a great season. The final rankings were as follows: #135: Overall 30th and 3rd in the SP8 class. #136: Overall 45th and 6th in SP8 class.

CCS-Rは、どの点を取ってもポジティブ。兄が走ったプラクティスでセッティングを変え乗りやすくなった、土曜日のレースは良い仕上がりでとても満足。決勝ではVölker 選手とあまり変わらない位のタイムで走れて楽しかったよ♪~

“This race I was the starting driver. The CCS-R has good overall settings. We were able to resolve the understeer issues, which is now helping us to cut the time.“

“Due to the race being red flagged, I only drove during the qualifying this time. The settings of the car have been more or less settled at this point. As the hard compound tyres matched our other settings well, the stability of the car increased. I believe we will go ahead with this setting. Despite this, I had rough going in the qualifying as I was unable to find a clear lap.“

“First of all, I would like to thank Kazunori Yamauchi for giving me a chance to race. This car’s balance is really great! Breaks and tyres alike were incredible!! The cornering was also smooth!!! I was able to experience the difficulties of the Nordschleife. Although the conditions were bad, the car’s electronic control system was great, so I was able to drive comfortably. For me being able to finish the race 3rd was a big and pleasant surprise!
